Have you ever caught yourself wondering how your Instagram influencer idol got those great #withiPhoneX photos? Here are 5 iPhone X Camera Tips that may help you!
5 iPhone X Camera Tips To Take More Professional Pictures
Do more with Live Photo Effects
Live Photos are new, but there are three Live Photo Effects that launched with the Apple iPhone X. There’s now a Long Exposure setting, a Continuous Loop setting, and a Bounce setting that plays the action backward and forward.
Tap on Screen to adjust Focus and Exposure
If your photo doesn’t seem to be in focus just right, tap on the screen to adjust the focus. For exposure, drag your finger up and down to adjust. Easy!
Shutter/Cable Release Hacks
If you have an Apple Watch, you can use your watch as a shutter release by utilizing the Camera icon. If you don’t have an Apple Watch, you can use your headphones as a cable release. Attach your headphones via the lightning port and press either one of the volume buttons to snap a photo. These tips are especially helpful if you use a tripod with your phone.
Speaking of Tripods
Tripods are great if you are going to utilize functions like the Long Exposure setting and Portrait mode. A steady hand is hard to come by at times. One of our favourites is the Manfrotto PIXI Mini Tripod. It comes at an affordable price, it’s compact, sturdy and easy to use!
One downside of Portrait mode is that in photo editing apps such as Priime, if you try to go in edit the photo, it will reverse the Bokeh effect (blurred background). So it’s extra important to get your lighting right. In order to do this, we suggest using the light effects that pop up at the bottom of your screen.
Extra tip: if you’re unhappy with your lighting effect, don’t worry! You can actually switch between the lighting options after you’ve taken the picture.
