SLIDR is a new online retail platform focused on Tech and Lifestyle products where users can acquire luxury trendy and innovative items at reduced prices through an enjoyable shopping experience. Consumers have the ability to slide and reveal their unique reduced price by paying a small fee (credits), and have 15 seconds to make their purchase decision. Should the price be convenient, consumers may proceed to check out. If not, they have the option to slide back at a later stage for a potentially lower price. The crowd, through their collective slides, will subsidise the price difference between the high street price and your unique price. The business model that combines shopping and gaming relies on a dynamic pricing model which is powered by an algorithm. This original approach to e-commerce allows consumers to fulfil their desires at prices they choose and feel comfortable with.
